DENVER, COLO. - June 10, 2014 – AlchemyAPI, Inc., a pioneer in artificial intelligence-based (AI) text analysis and computer vision cloud services, today announced that Gartner, a technology research and analyst firm, has named AlchemyAPI to its "Cool Vendors in Smart Machines 2014" report.* Every year, Gartner identifies new companies in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports for each sector highlighting these up-and-coming vendors, along with their new and innovative products and services.
Only five companies were selected this year, with the research focused on how these innovative vendors are exploiting the advances in AI-related algorithms, improvements in hardware, and all the big data out there to help IT organizations glean more intelligence from data. Gartner's report discusses the wide range of scalable AI services provided by AlchemyAPI to help both enterprises and independent software vendors build unstructured data applications.
AlchemyAPI is a cloud-based deep-learning platform that allows companies to easily create unstructured data applications that understand and act on the oceans of web pages, documents, tweets, chats, email, photos and videos produced every second.
“It’s an honor for AlchemyAPI to be named in Gartner's 'Cool Vendor' report. We’re seeing this technology continue to take hold in many avenues of business today,” said Elliot Turner, founder and CEO of AlchemyAPI, Inc. “AI is long past being the exclusive domain of big engineering labs. We’re making highly robust text and image analysis features available as affordable web service APIs. Now any company can mine the web and their communication channels to get feedback on their brand and products, improve engagement and enable business questions to be answered more quickly.”
Gartner’s research does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
